ACB Resources Berhad ("ACB") was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 on 10 October 1974 as a private limited liability company under the name of Kinta Steel Sdn Bhd. It subsequently changed its name to Amalgamated Steel Mills Sdn Bhd on 9 July 1976 and was converted to a public limited liability company under the name of Amalgamated Steel Mills Berhad on 18 June 1982. Thereafter, it changed its name to Amsteel Corporation Berhad on 12 December 1994 and assumed its current name on 9 December 2009. ACB was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 13 January 1983 and was delisted on 11 October 2007.

ACB is an investment holding company whose subsidiaries are involved in mainly provision of electronic surveillance of premises and other security related services and sale of security equipment, manufacturing and sale of tools and dies, and landscaping business.

Secom (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd ("Secom"), the Group’s joint-venture with Secom Co., Ltd, Japan and Koperasi Polis Diraja Malaysia Berhad, provides total integrated 24-hour security services under the SECOM brand. Secom has a broad range of products and services covering central monitoring services with emergency response, supply and installation of closed circuit televisions (“CCTV”), access control, CCTV remote monitoring, security audit, and the supply of security guards for industrial and commercial premises. Secom provides total security solutions to enhance customers’ security needs.
